Susan at Stony River challenges bloggers every Monday with a linky party called, Microfiction Monday.
She posts a picture and in 140 characters or less, you are to write a short story or short poem based on the picture. I have a story and a poem, hope you like them.
~Lovely vacation spot you brought me to Stell. Oh Stanley, it's just a little morning fog, go set up our camping tent and stop complaining!

~Whilst your insecurities can cloud your mind like a dense fog,
your heart will lead you to her
go to her and lose yourself in her arms

Lovely takes on the pic of the day! I really like them both! Hope you've had a great weekend and wishing you a good week ahead!

The first one really is a slice of life. 'The course of true love' and all that!
ReplyDeleteGreat job. Love the photo and the poem.
ReplyDeleteStop complaining Stan,
ReplyDeleteTwo good MF, I really enjoyed reading them both!
One funny and the other one--so romantic. Two for the price of one. I like them both!
ReplyDeleteWonderful takes on the MF pic. I love the poeticalness of the second.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comment on mine.
"Rainy days and Mondays" is a song from the early 70's, sung by The Carpenters.
I can hear the sarcasm in Stan's words!
ReplyDeleteI liked the first one best but they are both great. Thanks for visiting my MM last week.
ReplyDeleteBeing the romantic I love the lose yourself in her arms
ReplyDeleteBut the tent in fog makes me chuckle - that will be a damp trip
That second one is so sweet!
ReplyDeleteYour prose was lovely! Have a great week, :O)
ReplyDeleteBoth are great, but I think the first is my favourite...made me chuckle...
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful week. Cheers!
Wow, nice job. Like both!
ReplyDeleteGreat job! Like them both!
ReplyDeleteHey Maria, so glad to see you stop by for a visit at LazyonLoblolly....The pet partay is fun, and I loved sharing mine, and yes I was able to take a trip to Las Vegas last weekend, I live in southeast Georgia, so it is always fun to take a trip, and you say you are only about 2hrs drive, from Vegas, it is an exciting place to visit...thanks for your comment, you are so appreciated....fun depiction of "micro monday".

LazyonLoblolly
Nice! I'd be scared to camp in the fog--much less drive in it. Brrr...

Oh, both very nice and very different takes on the pic!
ReplyDeleteBoth of these were excellent, Maria.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week.
Very Nice Maria, Wonderful place to camp. I am sure the view will be nice when the fog lifts.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love #2 Maria, but I'm a romantic at heart I suppose...
ReplyDeleteYeah, that's how most of our camping trips have turned out!
ReplyDeleteIt's a good thing these two µ-fiction stories aren't a serial pair, Maria. After being treated like she did on setting up the tent, etc, she would never hold him on this outing.
ReplyDelete..
Stanley and Stell
ReplyDeletea bit of Streetcar Named Desire? :)
could you imagine them in all that fog
Ha.. Love it! Good job!! :-) ~ Coreen

Wow, Maria--what a writer!!! These are fantastic!!! I think I'll do it too...how fun!!

Wonderful post! There's no fog here in Albuquerque today (or most days, really) but it is gloomy (and windy!) out.
