Microfiction Monday Mothman

Susan at Stony River challenges bloggers every Monday with a linky party called,  Microfiction Monday.
She posts a picture and in 140 characters or less, you are to write a short story or short poem based on the picture. I have a story and a poem, hope you like them.

~ In the year when man is no longer alive,
Women must survive by making a modern man
sadly for Lea, her man was a cheap
model made from scraps!

~Young forbidden love
different worlds kept them apart
no one believed he had a heart
his weeping rusted his soul and his parts

  2. "Rusted his soul and his parts" - very good! But I also liked the "cheap scraps" line. Well done.

  4. I enjoyed both of these, the first because it made me grin and the second because I found it romantic. Good job, Maria!

  5. Maria, I like! Especially the making of a modern man when there are now real ones left.
    That sounds like a 'no-funner' world! :)

  6. Maria;

I'm glad that I don't have to choose which one I liked the best because I can't.

    Both are nicely done.

  21. Fun! :> The first has me wondering why she made her modern man with wings...multipurposed?! :> And the second, love the line, "weeping rusted soul"...wonderful!

  22. My addendum to the first one: Plus, he had scary fingers and ginormous wings.

The second one is lovely and poignant--reminds me a teensy bit of hantom of the Opera, though that romance was one-sided. Good stories, Maria!
