Tablescape Thursday

Although we've been having such incredibly hot weather, and the heat continues, It's five in the afternoon right now and it's 96 degrees fahrenheit!, we still wanted to celebrate the seasons soon coming our way. Bright colors of summer are a thing of the past.

I prepared a special dinner to mark the occasion, saying goodbye to summer and welcoming the coming seasons and holidays. There's nothing more inviting than a beautiful table with the colors of Fall and the smell of a fine home cooked meal and fresh baked bread, oh yeah!

The dinner plate set is from Marshall's and the table cloth from Macy's, Chris Madden, on clearance, HELLO CLEARANCE!  I love it when I find pretty things on clearance, don't you?  I placed red chargers underneath for a pop of color.

Speaking of chargers, there is a very nice lady in blogland who helped me find some really cool chargers on the internet.  She is the author of Entertaining Women, a fun website dedicated to beautiful tablescapes.  I mentioned to her the trouble I had finding chargers that I liked and that went well with my dishes.  After looking at my sets, she returned with a list of really cool chargers she found on the internet.  Is she awesome or what!!!

When you visit her, be sure to check out a video recorded by the Crop Hunger Walk Project, on her sidebar.  Her daughter wrote the song and is seen in the video singing it.  The song, Raise Your Voice, has become their anthem and the video is BEAUTIFUL, not to mention her beautiful voice.

Back to my table, here's a view from above:

A little red bubbly wine for me the adults, kept chilled in a pretty vase I got from a neighbor:
This pretty candelabra reminds me of Lumiere, from Beauty and the Beast.  I got it a Goodwill for $4 and it gives my table a little elegance.

I used ribbon down the center of the table.  I got the ribbon at the Dollar store:

Hope you enjoyed your visit!

Susan, at Between Naps On The Porch, is hosting a linky party on Thursday, so head on over for some more tablescape from fellow bloggers.

Ive been so busy I havent created one in a few weeks..maybe next week. lol I LOVE the painting in your DR...it looks like a Spanish male dancer. I could be wrong but its wonderful. Im going to check out your blog now...thanks for coming by again.

  9. yes, the painting is a Spanish dancer. It reminds me of the Opera, Carmen, you know the scene when she sings "L'amour est un oiseau rebelle." ("Love is a rebellious bird") you can see it on you tube. It's my favorite painting in the whole house. Acutally, it's my favorite painting ever.

  17. A very welcoming and pretty table! Those dishes are gorgeous and perfect for fall with their colours. So cute that the candelabra does look like from Beauty & The Beast - it is great and I'll be lovely when lit. I especially like the "poppy" art work behind the table!

  20. Maria, your table is so gorgeous. The Chris Madden tablecloth is beautiful, and I think that you are going to find that you'll use if for all seasons with different color combinations. Great find! Thank you for the mention in your post and for recommending my daughter, KC's, music. The red chargers really work well to anchor your other colors in your tablescape. I'm glad that you've been able to find some that will work for your designs. The ribbon down the center of the table is an effective design choice. Congratulations on a wonderful tablescape...you have a good eye for design. Thank you for sharing your charming design. Cherry Kay
